Summer Festivities at ICHIRAN

July 03, 2019 11:00 AM until July 21, 2019 11:00 PM

ICHIRAN’s Natsu Matsuri Summer Festival is back for a 2nd year! With more events, guests at ICHIRAN Times Square and ICHIRAN Brooklyn can enjoy various cultural events from July 3rd to July 21. Events include Gachapon Vending Raffle, Tanabata Star Festival, Photo Booth, and Retro Japanese Games.

For 5 days starting July 3rd at ICHIRAN Times Square (event will end on July 21 at ICHIRAN Brooklyn), all diners will receive a free token to use at our Gachapon Vending Raffle at the cashier. Prizes include ICHIRAN mug cups, various vending toys, Kae-Dama (noodle refill) coupons, and the grand prize is the ICHIRAN Donburi Ramen Bowl. With only 1 bowl per restaurant to win, who will be the lucky winner?

Our next event is the Tanabata Star Festival (July 5-7). Tanabata, the Star Festival, falls on July 7 and celebrates the one day in the year when husband and wife Princess Orihime and Hikoboshi can meet each other in the sky. On a clear night, magpies will form a bridge across the Milky Way starry river for the two love birds to cross into each other’s arms. Traditionally, wishes are written on pieces of paper called tanzaku and decorated on bamboo stalks to celebrate this day. ICHIRAN Times Square and Brooklyn will provide tanzaku for our guests to write their wishes and hang on the bamboo decorating the restaurant.

Throughout the entire summer festival, guests at our Brooklyn restaurant will be able to enjoy retro Japanese games and take fun photos with our ICHIRAN photo backdrop. Eating isn’t just about the food, but also about enjoying your time, whether dining with friends, or alone. Fight the summer heat with fun games and wacky poses at ICHIRAN’s Natsu Matsuri!
